科目概要 英会話A1に引き続き、さまざまなスピーキングの演習により、英語でのコミュニケーション能力の育成を図る。
到達目標 日常の場面で、基本的な内容の会話をより自然なスピードで行うことができる。
授業内容 In this term, we will empower students to hold and maintain discussions in English. The program will focus on topic based communication with individual and group dynamics.Students will practice with a variety of partners in real time creating interactive discussions.
授業計画 1. Greeting Friends.
The way native speakers show they have time to chat.

2. Linking and Bonding.
Practice how questioning and sharing on similar experiences helps to build friendship.

3. I Know What You Mean.
Use of experiences to show understanding of others.

4. The “WHY”.
How the question, “Why?” drives all western communication.

5. Reasoning.
How to use reasoning to build discussion topics.

6. Opinions and Support.
Practicing giving and supporting opinions in English conversation.

7. Agreeing and Disagreeing.
How to show agreement and disagreement in conversation.

8. Emphasizing and Clarifying.
The importance of making clear communication in practice.

9. Group Discussion Dynamics.
Practicing group discussion on selected topics.

10. One to One Discussion Dynamics.
Learning the responsibilities of partnered discussions.

11. Discussion Questions.
Practicing the creation of meaningful questions in discussion.

12. Discussion Practice.
Random partner, random topic discussion practice.

13. Discussion Oral Exam.
Discussion Oral examination with a random partner and topic.

Assessing the level of skill show in the exam and feedback.
履修上の注意 As participation points are earned by daily activities,it is strongly advised that students attend all classes.
準備学習(予習,復習について) Students should prepare for each lesson by reviewing the previous lesson's notes. Most lessons require a strong understanding of what was presented on the earlier lessons.Absent students will need to copy notes from others in class.
試験方法 At the end of the term an oral examination will be given in pairs.
成績評価方法 Participation 50% Acquired through daily activities.

教科書等 There is no text for this class.Lesson handouts will be provided.Students will need a A4 clear file notebook and all lesson hand-outs, paper and pencil should be brought to each class.
